International Editors serve as senior academic advisors, subject specialists, and ambassadors of the journal. They contribute to editorial quality, peer-review support, ethical oversight, policy development, international visibility, and research integrity.

Eligibility for Appointment

Appointment as an International Editor is based on academic excellence, professional integrity, editorial competence, leadership experience, and scholarly contributions relevant to the aims and scope of WJCRT.

Academic Qualifications

  • Ph.D., D.Sc., D.Litt., MD, DM, DNB, Pharm.D., DBA, Ed.D., or equivalent terminal qualification.

Research Excellence

  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Editorial Experience

  • Experience as Editor, Associate Editor, Guest Editor, Editorial Board Member, or Peer Reviewer is preferred.

Ethical Standards

International Editors must maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, confidentiality, research ethics, and academic integrity.

  • Editors must avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Editors must protect confidential manuscript information.
  • Editors must not misuse unpublished research.
  • Editors must not engage in plagiarism, citation manipulation, data fabrication, or unethical publication practices.
  • Editors must support fair and unbiased editorial decisions.

Editorial Responsibilities

Editorial Advisory Role

Editorial Independence

International Editors must exercise independent academic judgment. Editorial recommendations must be based only on academic merit, originality, research quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Personal, institutional, political, financial, commercial, or geographical considerations must not influence editorial recommendations or decisions.

Confidentiality Requirements

All manuscripts, reviewer reports, editorial communications, and unpublished research materials are confidential.

  • Editors must protect unpublished research.
  • Editors must maintain confidentiality of authors and reviewers.
  • Editors must avoid unauthorized disclosure of manuscript content.
  • Editors must not use unpublished information for personal, academic, or commercial advantage.

These confidentiality obligations continue even after completion of editorial service.

Conflict of Interest Policy

  • Editors must not upload confidential manuscripts to public AI systems.
  • Editors must not upload reviewer reports or unpublished data to AI tools.
  • AI must not be used to make editorial decisions.
  • Final editorial judgment must always remain with qualified human editors.

Term of Appointment

  • International Editor appointments are honorary and academic in nature.
  • The standard appointment term is generally two to three years.
  • Appointments may be renewed based on contribution, engagement, and mutual agreement.
  • Editorial appointments do not constitute employment unless otherwise specified in writing.
